F.A.Q.

    • How much time do you really need to make my cake?
As I am a custom cake maker, I do require at least 1 week to prepare and 1 week to make the cake, a total of 2 weeks. No, your cake will not ever sit in my freezer/refrigerator for 2 weeks. I need the time to schedule in kitchen time, driving and shopping for ingredients and materials like the cake board or fondant-they do take time. Many times, if I cannot find them locally, I order them online, and these items do take time to get here. (We can “rush” items to get here on time, but it will be billed to you directly). And for any custom toppers, fondant flowers, they do take time to dry. If you really need a cake in less time, still contact me, there may be other options we can entertain.

    • Do your cakes taste good with all those decorations?
Absolutely! Everything made in my kitchen is made from scratch and taste tested daily for best quality. I have tested and altered these recipes to make sure they are nothing less than dreamy and to my high standards. I prefer my desserts not too sweet, not too dry, or not too moist. I literally am OBSESSED with cake– every detail! Once cakes are delivered/picked up by you, they must be kept refrigerated to maintain the best quality. Cake can be left out no longer than 20 minutes (summer) to 1 hour (winter) prior to serving. Ask me questions— I am an open book!

    • Do you do anything else besides cakes?
Yes I do! I can do cookies, cupcakes, cake pops, rice krispies treats, tarts,… if its sweet, I can make it! Must meet the minimum $75 order requirement.

    • How much do your cake costs?
It all depends on your design, cake flavor and how many servings you will need. Be specific on your event. I will need those details. Specialty flavors and add ins do have additional costs. I do require a $75 minimum order. This can get you a very cute 6” cake which can feed 6-10 people. Cakes must be paid in full 1 week prior to event.

    • How do I book my cake?
Simply use my online order form. I check my emails and respond Tuesdays- Friday. We will have a back and forth discussion on cake flavors, designs, servings, and time/day of event. To make this process easier, please include all of this information along with any cake “inspirations”. Please allow for 24-72 hour response.

Once we decide what works best for you, a retainer is due to reserve/”book” your spot in my calendar.

    • Why do I have to pay a deposit?
Especially during a busy season, it is absolutely important to save your day! A retainer secures your spot in my calendar. I use these funds to buy ingredients, special equipment, shipping costs, and any other relevant purchases for your event.

    • What types of payments do you accept?
Our system is all online. We accept payments through Square. They accept major credit and debit cards. If you need an alternative form of payment, we may be able to work something out.

    • How about if I need to cancel my order?
Sorry that you will need to cancel your event. Please understand that I do not have a store front and just “sell” your canceled cakes openly to the public. Therefore if you do decide to cancel, you forfeit your retainer. If the day changes, you have more/less guests arriving, let me know ASAP. Rescheduling fee may apply.

    • Can I pick up my cake?
Certainly! Please let me know at the time of booking the estimated time you will pick up your order. (Any cake 2 tiers or bigger requires a delivery—no exception.) Please call or text when you arrive and our representative will come meet you at your car and help you load your treats. It is your responsibility to check the cake before leaving because once it is out of our hands, it is no longer our responsibility. Please keep cake and other treats away from the sunlight, wind, and heat to prevent any damages.

    • Do you deliver?
Yes I do! I prefer to hand deliver your cake. Delivery is free for orders $250+ and/ or within a 5 mile drive. Anywhere below $250 or beyond 5 miles does require a small fee. Delivery is usually scheduled the week of the event, so please make sure to provide an up to date phone number and email address. Any cake 2 tiers or larger must be delivered—no exceptions. Please also check if your location will have refrigeration. We schedule deliveries between 30 mins to 2 hours prior to the event. It is your responsibility to check the cake upon delivery. Once we leave, we are no longer responsible to how the cake is handled and there will be no refunds due to damage at the location. Please keep cake and other treats away from the sunlight, wind, and heat to prevent any damages.

    • I messed up the cake. Can you fix it?
Unfortunately, any edible material that leaves my kitchen cannot be altered outside my kitchen—per South Nevada Health District (SNHD). Please contact us immediately if you feel there may be something we can work out. Our chef can be contracted out for a minimum of $200 for up to 2 hours for fixing any cake/dessert
